Social Hub Terms of Service

Last updated: 22 October 2026

These terms explain how AUREUS MediaTech uses AUREUS Social Hub, its internal social media management application, to manage its own social media accounts and the accounts of clients who have authorised it. Please read them together with the Social Hub Privacy Policy.

1. About AUREUS Social Hub

AUREUS Social Hub (“the Social Hub”) is operated by AUREUS MediaTech (“AUREUS”, “we”, “us”). Our website is aureusmediatech.com.

The Social Hub is an internal application. It runs on a computer operated by AUREUS, is opened in a web browser on that computer and cannot be reached from other devices or from the internet. AUREUS personnel use it to:

  • connect Facebook Pages, Instagram professional accounts, TikTok accounts and YouTube channels through each platform’s official sign-in (OAuth);
  • prepare drafts, captions and media;
  • approve, schedule and publish posts, or send videos to TikTok as drafts;
  • view analytics provided by the platforms; and
  • read and respond to comments where the platform allows it.

The Social Hub is used to manage:

  • AUREUS MediaTech’s own social media accounts; and
  • social media accounts belonging to clients who have authorised AUREUS to manage them.

2. Who these terms apply to

These terms apply to AUREUS’s use of the Social Hub and to each client or account owner who authorises AUREUS to manage a social media account through it (“you”).

The Social Hub is not a public product. It is not open for public registration, is not sold as a subscription, is not given to clients to install and is not licensed to other operators. Only AUREUS personnel operate it, on behalf of AUREUS and its authorised clients. Clients do not receive their own access to the Social Hub.

If AUREUS ever changes how the Social Hub is made available, these terms will be updated before that change takes effect.

3. Client authorisation

AUREUS manages a client’s social media account through the Social Hub only after the client, or a person entitled to act for the account, has authorised it directly. Authorisation may be given in writing by email, WhatsApp message or another appropriate direct communication, and AUREUS keeps a record of it.

Authorisation should identify:

  • the accounts AUREUS may manage, on which platforms; and
  • the activities AUREUS may carry out, for example preparing drafts, scheduling and publishing posts, sending videos to TikTok drafts, reviewing analytics or replying to comments, and whether posts need the client’s approval before they are published.

By giving authorisation, you confirm that you own each account or are entitled to authorise its management, and that you are at least 18 years old and able to give that authorisation.

AUREUS acts only within the authorisation each client gives. AUREUS will not access an account, or carry out an action on it, that goes beyond that authorisation. Where the scope of an authorisation is unclear, AUREUS will ask before acting.

Authorisation given in this way does not by itself satisfy every contractual, privacy, regulatory or platform requirement that may apply to a particular account or activity. Where AUREUS and a client have a written service agreement, that agreement also applies and prevails over these terms to the extent of any conflict.

4. Account ownership and platform permissions

Clients keep ownership and control of their social media accounts at all times. Authorising AUREUS does not transfer an account, its content or its followers to AUREUS.

Accounts are connected through the platform’s official sign-in page, by the account owner or by a person the owner has given access to the account. During sign-in the platform shows the permissions the Social Hub requests, such as reading basic profile information, publishing or uploading content, reading analytics and managing comments. The Social Hub never receives or stores social media passwords.

Platform permissions and business authorisation are separate. Granting permissions on a platform sign-in screen allows the Social Hub to act technically, but it does not replace the client’s direct authorisation described in section 3. AUREUS uses a connected account only within both.

Platform sign-ins expire or can be revoked. When this happens, the account must be reconnected before the Social Hub can use it again.

5. Content and responsibilities

When you supply material for your account, such as text, images, videos, logos or music, you confirm that you own it or have the rights and permissions needed for it to be published, including permission from people who appear in it.

AUREUS is responsible for acting within your authorisation and for taking reasonable care when preparing, scheduling and publishing content through the Social Hub. You remain responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of the material and instructions you give us, and for the decisions you make about your account.

Content published through the Social Hub must be lawful and must comply with each platform’s terms, community guidelines and rules on advertising, branded content and disclosures. AUREUS may decline to publish content that it reasonably believes does not meet these requirements.

The Social Hub checks some technical requirements before publishing, such as file type, file size, video length, image proportions and caption length. It does not review content for legality, accuracy or compliance with platform policies.

6. Drafts, approval, scheduling and publishing

New posts are saved in the Social Hub as drafts. A post must be approved in the Social Hub before it can be scheduled or published, and publishing immediately asks for confirmation. The Social Hub does not publish drafts that have not been approved. Where a client’s authorisation requires the client to approve posts first, AUREUS obtains that approval before approving the post in the Social Hub.

Before a caption is sent, the Social Hub removes text formatting that platforms do not display (for example, bold markers) and shows a preview of what will be published on each platform.

Scheduled posts are sent only while the computer running the Social Hub is switched on, connected to the internet and running the Social Hub. If a scheduled time passes while it is not running, the post is held for a decision rather than published late, unless a different catch-up setting has been chosen. Times in the Social Hub are shown in Ghana time (GMT).

Each platform decides whether, when and how content appears, and may reject, delay, limit or remove it. The Social Hub reports the status the platform returns. Where the outcome of a publishing attempt is uncertain, the Social Hub asks AUREUS personnel to check rather than trying again automatically, to avoid duplicate posts. Automatic retries are made only for temporary errors, up to three times.

Editing or deleting a post in the Social Hub does not edit or delete content that has already been published on a platform. That must be done on the platform itself.

TikTok

The Social Hub connects to TikTok through TikTok Login Kit and the Content Posting API, and requests only two TikTok permissions: basic profile information and video upload. It currently uses TikTok’s upload feature to send a video to the connected TikTok account as a draft. Only the video file is sent; the caption and post settings are added in the TikTok app. A draft is not public. The account owner, or a person they have authorised, must open the TikTok app, review the draft and publish it there.

The Social Hub does not publish directly to TikTok, and TikTok’s Direct Post feature has not been approved or enabled for it. The Social Hub does not read or reply to TikTok comments and does not collect TikTok statistics. Using TikTok’s developer tools does not mean that TikTok has approved or endorsed the Social Hub.

Comments

Where the platform permits it and the client has authorised it, AUREUS can reply to, hide, unhide and delete comments on Facebook and Instagram, and reply to comments on YouTube. These actions take effect on the platform and may not be reversible. Deleting a comment asks for a second confirmation.

7. Platform rules and third-party terms

Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube are operated by Meta Platforms, TikTok and Google, not by AUREUS, and they do not endorse the Social Hub. Use of each platform through the Social Hub is also governed by that platform’s terms and policies, including:

By authorising AUREUS to connect a YouTube channel to the Social Hub, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.

The platforms control their own features, permissions, rate limits and posting limits, and may change or withdraw them at any time. AUREUS is not responsible for platform decisions, including decisions to reject content or to restrict or suspend accounts.

AUREUS will not use the Social Hub to send spam, artificially inflate followers or engagement, work around platform limits or enforcement, collect information about people beyond what is needed to manage the authorised accounts, or publish content it knows to be unlawful, infringing or deceptive. Clients must not ask AUREUS to do any of these things.

8. Intellectual property

The Social Hub software, its name, design and documentation, and the AUREUS name and logo, belong to AUREUS or its licensors. These terms do not give anyone a licence to use, copy or install the Social Hub.

Your accounts and the material you supply remain yours or your licensors’. Ownership of content that AUREUS creates for a client is as agreed between AUREUS and that client. Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube names and logos are trademarks of their respective owners.

9. Availability and limitations

The Social Hub is an internal tool provided “as is”. It depends on the computer it runs on, its internet connection and the availability of each platform’s services. AUREUS does not guarantee that the Social Hub will be uninterrupted or error-free, that every post will be published at the exact scheduled time, or that platforms will accept every post.

Analytics figures come from the platforms. They may be delayed, incomplete or unavailable, in which case the Social Hub shows a dash instead of a number.

The Social Hub keeps local backups of posts and settings, but these do not include media files or platform sign-ins. Clients should keep their own copies of content that matters to them.

These terms do not set any fees. Any charges for AUREUS’s services are agreed separately with each client.

10. Withdrawing authorisation and disconnecting accounts

You can withdraw your authorisation, or ask AUREUS to disconnect an account, at any time by contacting AUREUS through the channel you used to give authorisation or by email at hello@aureusmediatech.com. You can also remove the Social Hub’s access yourself in the platform’s settings, as explained in the Privacy Policy.

When we receive a withdrawal, AUREUS will stop acting on the account and disconnect it in the Social Hub as soon as reasonably practicable, and confirm this to you. Disconnecting deletes the account’s sign-in tokens from the computer running the Social Hub, so scheduled posts for the account can no longer be sent through the Social Hub. An upload that a platform had already received before the disconnection may still be processed by that platform.

Withdrawal does not automatically delete content already published on the platform, and it does not automatically delete every record kept in the Social Hub, such as drafts, media, publishing history, analytics records, logs and backups. Those records are handled as described in the Privacy Policy, and you can ask us to delete them.

11. Suspension and ending management

AUREUS may pause or stop managing an account through the Social Hub, and disconnect it, if the authorisation is unclear, disputed or withdrawn; if we are asked to act outside it or to publish content we reasonably believe is unlawful or against platform rules; if a platform or the law requires it; or if AUREUS stops using the Social Hub. Where practicable, we will tell you first.

A platform may also restrict or withdraw the Social Hub’s access to its services independently of AUREUS.

Sections 8, 12 and 13 continue to apply after management ends.

12. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the laws of Ghana, including any liability that applicable law does not allow to be excluded for negligence, fraud or wilful misconduct.

Subject to that, and to the extent permitted by applicable law, AUREUS is not responsible for:

  • actions or decisions of Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube or other third parties, including rejected or removed content, account restrictions and changes to their services;
  • material or instructions supplied by a client, and the consequences of publishing content the client has approved, except to the extent caused by AUREUS acting outside the client’s authorisation or failing to take reasonable care;
  • posts that are delayed or not published because of platform errors or unavailability, internet failures or other causes outside AUREUS’s reasonable control; or
  • indirect or consequential loss, or loss of profit, revenue, business opportunity or reputation.

These terms do not set a financial limit on AUREUS’s liability. Where AUREUS and a client have a written service agreement, any limit agreed in it applies to the services covered by that agreement.

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest of the terms continue to apply.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana. If you have a concern, please contact us first so that we can try to resolve it informally. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, either party may refer it to the courts of Ghana. This does not affect any right either party has under applicable law to use another forum or procedure that cannot be excluded.

14. Changes to these terms

AUREUS may update these terms when the Social Hub, the way it is used, the platforms it connects to or the law change. The current version will always be published on this page with its “Last updated” date. Where a change significantly affects clients whose accounts we manage, we will take reasonable steps to tell them.
